Our guest speaker at our April meeting will be Jerry Gorman. Jerry grew up in the rural outskirts of Welland. He and his brother spent all of their free time boating on the Welland River and exploring and hiking along its banks. Jerry and his wife moved to Bolton in 1971. The housing was almost entirely in the valley and the posted population was 900! He is a founding member and current President of the Humber Valley Heritage Trail Association from 1996 until now. He has a degree in Geography from McMaster University. He was the Geography Department Head at Mayfield Secondary School.
Jerry has made a commitment to our community with his involvement in the Bolton Wanders Soccer Club, Bolton Scouts, Town of Caledon Advisory Committee just to name a few organizations. He has won several awards for his enthusiasm and commitment to community service. We look forward to his presentation about the Humber Valley Heritage Trail Association.
