David Dunlap Observatory Trip
A group of 21 Bolton Probus members went to the David Dunlap Observatory. We had a wonderful time even though it was a rainy miserable night. In the administration building we saw a presentation on the interesting history of the DDO, then about solar observing. Club members peppered the presenters with a lively series of questions. Well behind schedule we went to the dome which houses what was once the second largest optical telescope in the world. Sadly, the weather prevented us from looking through the telescope, but we enjoyed explanations of how it worked.
We all got home safely through the rainy dark night.
